A$AP Rocky criticized after commenting on Drake beef

A$AP Rocky finally addressed his long-standing feud with Drake, claiming he is not into feuding with the OVO founder as long as there are “real” issues on the street.

During a comprehensive Billboard In Thursday’s (August 22) cover story, Rocky addressed a number of topics, including his issues with Drake. Although the two rappers have attacked each other on several occasions, A$AP Rocky dismissed the notion of a feud with Drake.

“You have to realize that certain n##### have been firing shots for years,” the Harlem native explained. “I’m not in the middle of this shit. I’m not getting my revenge now. I’ve got more important things to do than some assholes. It’s real riots out there. It’s real. N##### is getting shot at and bombed every day. N##### is getting shot at N###### every day. This little shit here means nothing.”

However, after quotes from the interview appeared online, social media users questioned his statements.

“Rocky pretending to be on the streets when he’s actually a househusband in Rihanna’s mansion is kind of wild. LOL,” one person shared.

Another echoed the sentiment, adding: “You’re out having a real fight with two kids and a wife at home while you’re modelling and you get off in the middle of the track????”

A third claimed: “Drake destroyed Rocky so much he’ll never recover. He should just move on.”

Although they downplay the feud, fans believe A$AP Rocky insulted Drake on “HIGHJACK,” which dropped earlier this month. The diss and their feud seem to stem from Drizzy’s alleged relationship with Rihanna prior to her marriage to Rocky. The feuding rappers have feuded on multiple occasions since at least last year. Additionally, rumors have surfaced that Drake will be “cemented” on his rival’s roster once A$AP Rocky drops his next album. Don’t be stupid.

It’s worth noting that Rocky is currently awaiting trial. He is accused of shooting his former friend and colleague A$AP Relli outside a Hollywood hotel. He pleaded not guilty to two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and is scheduled to go on trial on October 21.
