Well, it took 13 years, but Snapchat has finally introduced native app support for the Apple iPad. The update allows Snapchat users to use the device’s entire screen for the first time.
Until this update, iPad users had to use the iPhone version of the popular app, which was optimized for the iPhone’s small screen, not the iPad’s larger screen. This meant that iPad users had to run the app at a lower resolution and with large black borders. The app first appeared on the iPhone in 2011.
The Snapchat version for iPad doesn’t support landscape mode on the iPad, meaning users have to run it in portrait mode. But isn’t that how most Snapchatters use the app anyway?
Snapchat now has native support for the iPad! This means Snapchat fills the entire screen of an iPad, giving you a bigger canvas when taking Snaps and allowing you to see more friends in the second and fourth tabs.
