Visage Iconic Hairdryer – £14.99

Aldi’s iconic hairdryer is back and a whopping £314 cheaper than the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer, which its design is said to be inspired by.

With a three-year warranty, customers can choose between pink and grey or blue and gold.

But what did Fabulous’ Beauty Writer Mia Lyndon think of the hairdryer? She tested it out and shared her thoughts…

“This is an ionic hair dryer that uses negatively charged ions instead of heat to break down water molecules and dry your hair,” she explained.

“While you should still use heat protectant when blow-drying, this technology reduces damage that can otherwise lead to dryness, thinning and split ends.

“Ionic hair dryers also dry your hair faster and can help minimize frizz.

“The removable intake grille is a great feature because it makes the filter easy to clean, which can otherwise lead to reduced effectiveness and burning smells.

“Compared to the Dyson, the ALDI hairdryer is more top-heavy and therefore less comfortable and more cumbersome to use,” Mia notes.

“It usually takes me a while to dry my long, thick hair, so using this hairdryer would hurt my hand.

“But the hairdryer has a simple control panel that lets you increase the heat and speed, and a cool air function (which is great for setting your look after styling).

“The Dyson Supersonic has five attachments, while the Aldi hairdryer only has one styling concentrator attachment.

“And although it’s great for smoothing cuticles and reducing frizz and flyaways, the attachment is difficult to put on and take off – I thought it would break on the first try!

“Overall, it’s a good hairdryer for the price.”

The mascara/primer set from Aldi is supposed to provide stronger eyelashes and is a “beauty product with double effect”.

The primer contains nourishing and strengthening ingredients for the eyelashes, including panthenol and vitamin E. It strengthens the eyelashes for the perfect mascara base, while the mascara strengthens the eyelashes so they last all day and night without clumping.
