Andy Speer says Peloton Strength+ app workouts will include barbells, dumbbells, gym equipment, benches and more

In a recent interview on the Intentional Wisdom In the podcast with Greg Campion, Peloton trainer Andy Speer gave a little preview of the upcoming Peloton Strength+ app.

In case you missed it, we recently shared that Peloton is launching three new beta programs, one of which is the Peloton Strength+ app. It’s said to be a completely separate app from the existing Peloton digital app and is “designed for those who want to do more intense strength training in the gym.”

The Strength+ app is described as: “Trainer-led workout programs in a gym environment, paired with audio guidance and expert coaching, plus a custom workout generator that creates a plan based on equipment access, focus areas, available time, and more.”

In the podcast interview, Andy gave a sneak peek of the upcoming Peloton Strength+ app, which he described as a “gym workout app” that offers structured and highly detailed workout plans tailored to different equipment configurations and goals.

During the segment, which you can watch on YouTube, Andy explained some of the features of the new Strength+ app.

The Peloton Strength+ app is designed to support a range of gym workouts, including those using barbells, weight benches, dumbbells, and various gym equipment. Note that Andy hasn’t provided a complete list, so there could be many other things included that aren’t mentioned here. Those who have a home gym can also use the app.

Andy says that in addition to the individual workouts, there will also be full training plans that will guide Peloton members through the workouts in a structured way. He goes on to mention that the app will also include how-to guides and video demonstrations, as well as training tips from Peloton trainers.

These detailed workout plans are designed to help users head to the gym with confidence, knowing exactly what exercises to do and how to do them safely and effectively. In Andy’s words, the app offers “well-designed, guided workouts” that take the guesswork out of strength training and allow users to choose from a variety of workout programs to suit their fitness goals.

Perhaps most interestingly, the app will likely include filmed content outside of Peloton Studios, adding more variety to the workout environments. Earlier this year, Peloton released a behind-the-scenes image of trainer Rad Lopez in what appears to be a gym setup with a barbell, which could very well tie in with the new Strength+ app.

Peloton has not yet announced details on the pricing structure of the Strength+ app. It remains unclear whether it will be included in existing Peloton memberships or come with an additional fee.

We’ll continue to share updates on the Peloton Strength+ app as new details become available. What do you think of the teasers so far?
