Apple’s upcoming iPhone SE is expected to feature the iPhone 14 design and 8GB of RAM (compared to 4GB in the 2022 model) to meet Apple Intelligence’s hardware requirements.

Currently, only the iPhone 15 Pro models support Apple Intelligence, which is included in iOS 18.1. The lower RAM of the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models is the reason why they cannot use AI.

And Apple is expected to launch the fourth-generation SE in September, putting the company in a difficult position since its sub-$500 devices will come with Apple Intelligence, while the standard 15-series models won’t.

The iPhone SE 4 is also expected to ditch Touch ID in favor of Face ID, get a USB-C port and an action button, and grow from the current 4.7 inches to 6.06 inches. The device is also expected to feature an OLED display for the first time.
