JEFFERSON PARISH, Louisiana (WGNO) – Officials with the Jefferson Parish Department of Community Development have announced the start of the second round of a development program designed to help homeowners across the parish finance home repairs.
According to the municipality, the 2024 Revitalizing Jefferson Together: Under One Roof Homeowner Rehabilitation Program was created to allow qualified homeowners to apply for funding for minor and major repairs to their homes, such as problems with the foundation, roof, electrical, plumbing, heating or cooling, and window or door improvements.

The parish government began accepting applications for the second round on Wednesday, August 7, and will close on Friday, August 23. Qualified applicants can apply on the Jefferson Parish website.
Submitting an application does not guarantee assistance. Applications are selected by lottery. Homeowners will receive assistance in the order they are selected until funds are exhausted.
When funds are exhausted, individuals must apply during the next application period.

To be eligible, the individual must reside in Jefferson Parish, meet income requirements set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and not have received funding from other sources.
