Ashton Ellis Drake High Hawk was born on March 14, 2005 in Pine Ridge, SD to Michael Goodman and Natasha High Hawk. Ashton began his journey to the spirit world on August 16, 2024 at Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Ashton is survived by his father Michael Goodman Sr., his mother Natasha High Hawk, his brothers Nishawn High Hawk, DeAndre High Hawk, MaTyus New Holy, Michael Goodman Jr., Malik Janis, Darrell Two Bulls, Tony Two Bulls and Jeremiah Janis, his sisters TaSina New Holy, Zoey Lessert, Trinity Janis, Michaeli Goodman and Doreen Two Bulls, his paternal grandparents Marie Goodman and Harvey Kerbaugh, Danielle Goodman and Susan “Q” Standing Bear, his maternal grandmother Judy Slow Bear, his aunts Michelle Goodman, Valeria High Hawk, Rowlanda High Hawk and Kaitlyn Iron Teeth, his uncles Kristopher Kerbaugh, Sidney Rowland, Deon Iron Teeth and Valetine High Hawk Jr, his great father Matt Shoulders and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ashton was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Valentine High Hawk Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Rowland Slow Bear and Doris Dreaming Bear, Cordell Slow Bear, Lois Slow Bear, and Abel Good Voice Elk; his paternal grandparents, Cedric and Leola (Black Horse) Goodman, Charlene Black Horse, Vivian Frazier, and Charles Black Horse; his aunt, Troylynne High Hawk; his uncle, Norvel Tobacco; and his cousin, Alaya High Hawk.
Two nightly watch services: Friday, August 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Joyner Hall in Pine Ridge, SD, and the second night beginning on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD.
