The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline at self-dispensing stations in Los Angeles County rose for the fourth time in five days on Wednesday, rising six-tenths of a cent to $4.575, a day after already rising four-tenths of a cent.
The average price has risen 2 cents over the past five days, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. That’s 1.3 cents more than a week ago, but 5.7 cents less than a month ago and 79.1 cents less than a year ago.
The average price has fallen by $1,919 since rising to a record high of $6,494 on October 5, 2022.
The average price in Orange County also rose for the fourth time in five days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.508, a day after posting its biggest increase of 1.3 cents since July 26. It has risen 3 cents over the past five days.
The average price in Orange County is 1.9 cents higher than a week ago, but 6.3 cents lower than a month ago and 80.3 cents lower than a year ago. It has fallen $1.951 since rising to a record high of $6.459 on October 5, 2022.
A 13-day streak of 9.5-cent declines in the national average price ended with a 1.1-cent increase to $3,361, down 3.7 cents from a week ago, 14.5 cents from a month ago and 45.8 cents below a year ago.
The national average price has fallen by $1,655 since rising to a record $5,016 on June 14, 2022.
