Banned One Piece Card Games: All Banned and Restricted One Piece Cards

The One Piece Card Game Block list is one of the few external deckbuilding rules that Bandai Namco uses for local and competitive play, with the most powerful or synergistically strong cards being put on the chopping block.

Bandai originally decided to keep the ever-evolving ban list in the early days of the A piece deck of cards that actually only blocks Cabaji from the second set. Whitebeard’s iconic ship, the Moby Dick, was quickly added after the Paramount War However, the set was released when it became clear how meta-warping the red tier could be when paired with other Whitebeard Pirates cards.

The power of red leaders like Edward Newgate and Roronoa Zoro eventually led to other strong picks in the same color being banned, including Radical Beam, the Newgate character card, Nami, Curly Dadan, and two different Marcos. These have since been banned again as Bandai considered their strength more controllable after Awakening of the new age.

In 2024, the TCG saw its most catastrophic changes, with the clearly best deck, Sakazuki, gutted by a leader ban. The black event Great Eruption and the new yellow removal card Reject were also banned entirely.

In the run-up to the OP-08 release in the West, Bandai once again struck a massive blow against the metagame and also put the top deck Trafalgar Law on the banned list.

Here is the current A piece Prohibited card games, including restricted cards.
