Ten beauty salons and technicians have made the shortlist for the latest Best of 2024 awards, and The Beauty Spot has secured the coveted crown this year, officially bestowing the region’s most beautiful radiance.

Rebecca, who grew up in Barnton and now lives in Wincham, said: “The Beauty Spot is a beauty salon offering nails, cosmetics and lashes as well as make-up, event hair and body contouring using liquid lipo.

“I am constantly adding new treatments and staying up to date with new trends and products.

“My salon is vegan, eco-friendly and uses mainly products from small, independent British companies.

“I am currently in the process of launching my own skin and body care range – The Beauty Spot Cosmetics.

“The whole thing is organic, natural, vegan and environmentally friendly.

“The packaging is made of cobalt blue glass and we will offer refill packs in compostable packaging.”

Several generations of Rebecca’s family have been self-employed and their drive, dedication and hard work inspired Rebecca to start her own business.

Rebecca, 40, said: “It’s so inspiring and so rewarding.

“I am also determined and creative and want to be in control of my life and career and determine my own course and destiny.

“I hold multiple qualifications in beauty and nail therapy as well as an art degree and Level 4 in digital marketing and social media management.

“This has proven extremely useful not only in my beauty business but also in my other business, The Beauty Box UK.

“I love my job and my business.

“I thrive when I see someone smile and think that I have made them happy in their own skin.

“Self-love and mental health are so important and I’m glad I can be a part of that for so many people, especially in today’s world full of unrealistic expectations.

“I want to show people the true beauty of their own skin and make them feel like the best version of themselves.”

What do customers think of The Beauty Spot? Why should they give the company our recent Best of 2024 award?

One regular customer said: “This is a friendly beauty salon – they go above and beyond to help and advise customers.”

“Nails, eyebrows, eyelashes and much more!”

Rebecca said: “The Beauty Spot is not your average salon – I have a very homely and relaxed atmosphere.

“Clients bring their slippers, their children, a book and sometimes their work to their appointments.

“I enjoy working with everyone’s busy life in mind and helping my clients to relax more.

“I know everyone’s life inside and out and am always happy to lend a listening ear while I sip a cup of tea and nibble on a biscuit.

“I have a small allotment in my garden and I always send my customers home with potatoes, cucumbers, carrots and strawberries, especially those who are struggling and very busy.

“I want to make a difference and help wherever I can.”

She added: “My customers are not just customers, they are family to me.

“It’s just wonderful to see my clients smiling at the end of a treatment and to know that they feel good in their own skin.”

When Rebecca learned that she had been shortlisted for Mid Cheshire’s Best for Beauty for the third year in a row, she felt loved and appreciated by her customers.

She said: “I do my work for them and to see their happy faces, so it is nice to know that my appreciation is reciprocated.

“I was overjoyed when I heard that I had won.

“After three years of trying to win this award, I am still overwhelmed and grateful to everyone who took the time to buy a newspaper and vote for me.

“I am very touched.

“My customers are my life and without them I would have no business.

“I thank each and every one of my clients with all my heart.

“I have had some of my clients for 20 years and their support and friendship mean a lot to me.

“I saw their children grow up and they too became customers.

“To so many people I am Aunt Becky and I love it.”
