Now that he’s no longer with WWE, Bobby Lashley reveals that he had a better relationship with Vince McMahon than with Triple H.

Bobby Lashley’s second WWE ended without much fanfare. His contract expired earlier this month and was not renewed. Honestly, it sounds like WWE didn’t even try to keep the former multiple champion. We’ve heard that AEW is interested in signing him, and probably other pro wrestling promotions as well. Additionally, he could return to MMA or try his hand at boxing.
On the Bo and Them Show, Lashley spoke about his departure and revealed that he had a better connection with Vince McMahon than he did with Triple H. “I had a connection with Vince,” Lashley said. “Vince understood me. He saw people who were stars and he saw that in me. I like Vince. I didn’t really have a close connection with Hunter. Hunter has his people. I tried, but we didn’t really work together enough to get to know each other. When Vince was here, I had more conversations with him. I don’t know what people do in their personal lives. And where I work, that’s what I focus on.”

Of course, Vince resigned from WWE in disgrace. He was accused of sexual harassment, sexual abuse and human trafficking. He will essentially never return to WWE and has been banned from the business. In his place, Triple H has produced great television. Plus, the company continues to bring top-notch live events to countries outside the United States.
As for Lashley, a run in AEW alongside MVP and Shelton Benjamin seems possible. If AEW signs all three, expect The Hurt Business to return under a different name. At 48, time is not on Lashley’s side. Although with such an illustrious background, he may be able to land a lucrative contract with AEW. So did Vince McMahon see something in Bobby Lashley that Triple H missed?
