Bella Hadid just embraced the no-brush hair trend with carefree, messy waves

Bella Hadid loves to revive a 2000s hair trend, from the zigzag parts of 2000 to the Myspace bangs of 2007. She even made the streaked highlights of the 2000s the epitome of cool. The latest 2000s trend she’s reviving? The unkempt beach waves that sent moms everywhere into despair.

But not brushing was key to keeping those gorgeous, textured waves defined while maintaining volume. We wanted to look like we’d stumbled home after 12 hours at the beach, too happy and carefree to think about brushing our hair. And to be honest, that’s exactly how Bella looks. Happy. She’s never looked happier.

Which she confirmed in the caption, writing: “How I feel about the @orebella launch at every single @ultabeauty in the country. 🥹 To everyone who’s already gone to get theirs… I wish I could give you a hug!!!!! Thank you.”

After taking a five-month medical break from work in 2023 to treat her chronic Lyme disease, Bella has shifted her priorities, launched her perfume brand Orebella and told Allure that she is retiring from modeling: “After 10 years of modeling, I realized that I was putting so much energy, love and effort into something that wasn’t necessarily giving me anything back in the long run,” she said.

She’s focusing on her well-being and what makes her happy this year. All we can say is that following her heart suits her well. And just as well, love suits her with her literal cowboy boyfriend Adan Banuelos (slide 7).

We’re so happy that the no-brush hair trend is back, and we’re so excited for Bella’s new era: unbrushed and untamed.
