If you’re looking to take a break before departure, recharge between connecting flights, or even find a business center so you can keep working without interruptions, airport lounges offer all that and more. The good news is that these lounges are accessible if you have the right credit card.

What different types of airport lounge access programs are there?
Airport lounges are operated by various operators, but the most popular with the largest networks are Priority Pass, DragonPass and Plaza Premium.
Priority Pass has over 1,500 airport lounges around the world and is currently the largest lounge network in the world. DragonPass is a China-based lounge network with around 1,300 lounges in China (including some at train stations). Plaza Premium has a smaller network of around 200 lounges worldwide, but their lounges are more premium.
Regardless of the lounge, most offer a peaceful and relaxing environment with amenities such as refreshment and bar service, shower facilities and other entertainment options.
Can two people get lounge access with the same card? Can you take your family members to the airport lounge with your credit card?
Free access to airport lounges is generally limited to the primary cardholder, and free access for guests depends on the type of credit card you have. A fee may be charged for each guest you bring.
Can you also use the lounge if you fly economy class?
Yes! Credit card holders have access to airport lounges regardless of their flight class. As long as you have a valid credit card that gives you free access to airport lounges, you’re fine.
How do you know if your card entitles you to access an airport lounge?
Airport lounge access is usually advertised as one of the best credit card benefits and is also more commonly found on credit cards that offer miles or enhanced travel benefits. If you’re unsure, check with your credit card issuer.
