Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds break a huge record together for the first time in 34 years

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds broke an incredible record that remained unbeaten for an incredible 34 years.

Lively, 36, and Reynolds, 47, married in 2012 and regularly post tongue-in-cheek posts online celebrating their relationship.

They have four children together and are both big names in Hollywood due to their acting careers.

With Lively’s latest film It ends with us, was released on August 9th and Reynolds’ latest film, Deadpool and Wolverine is currently in cinemas – the couple has broken an incredible record due to the success of both films.

It turns out that they are the first married couple in 34 years whose films have each reached the top of the box office charts.

The last time this happened was with film legend Demi Moore, who starred in Spiritand Bruce Willis, who in Die Hard 2.

Lively currently plays Lily Bloom in It Ends With Us, which is based on the novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover and describes a woman’s experiences with domestic violence.

Deadpool and Wolverine Starring Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, it is a Marvel epic that offers comedy and drama.

The two titles couldn’t be more different and yet they have motivated thousands of people to buy tickets.

Variety reported that “(It ends with us) grossed an incredible $50 million in its opening weekend from 3,611 North American theaters.

“(The film) grossed $30 million internationally, against an $80 million worldwide opening. This is a huge achievement for the film, which Sony Pictures and Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios co-financed to the tune of $25 million.”

In relation to Deadpool and WolverineThe Hollywood Reporter wrote: “(The film) will close the weekend with an estimated $1.029 billion in worldwide ticket sales, including $494.3 million domestically and $535.2 million internationally.”

Not bad at all.

On X, someone wrote of Blake and Ryan’s record-breaking: “Historic moment created by a wonderful couple.”

And another said: “That’s quite an achievement.”

Blake, who made a name for herself in the teen drama Gossip Girl, was mentioned in Reynolds’ latest film with a very cheeky line.

In one scene, Ryan’s character turns to the camera in typical Deadpool humor and jokes, “I’ve got 206 bones in my body – 207 if I’m watching. gossip Girl.”
