But with Bo Nix being named the Broncos’ starting quarterback this week, fans can’t help but feel excitement and hope. However, this by no means guarantees success in Denver. There is still a lot of work ahead for this team to win games and compete for a playoff spot.
Still, you get the feeling that the Broncos have finally turned things around. They are finally on the right track.
They have a starting quarterback who works with the head coach, and they have an offense and a system that fits that quarterback perfectly. They have an ownership group that has a lot of money and has shown a willingness to spend.
That means it is not just about The Season. This is about the future. Hopefully the next 10-15 years will be good, but you can’t be greedy considering what the last nine years have brought.
For the first time in a long time, there is excitement and hope surrounding this franchise. Even if the Broncos don’t make the playoffs this season (which is entirely possible), the dark cloud that was hanging over this franchise seems to have finally lifted.
