Brazilian Chamber of Commerce cooperates with Dallas Market Center for the Nearshoring America trade fair

Dallas Market Center announces a partnership with CISBRA, the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, to collaborate on trade promotion and develop a trade mission for Nearshoring America, the new international expo and support services aimed at exploring and facilitating nearshoring manufacturing services for companies in the giftware, home furniture, lighting and fashion accessories sectors. The Nearshoring America EXPO, to be held at Dallas Market Center from December 9-11, 2024, will connect brands and their representatives with vetted factories and supply chain service providers from Mexico and Latin America.

John Cuttino, CISBRA’s Director of International Business, said: “Our goal is to connect qualified exporters in Brazil with major importers in the United States to create supply alternatives that make their supply chains more competitive, sustainable, resilient, culturally and environmentally friendly.”

The aim of the collaboration is to attract Brazilian companies as Nearshoring America exhibitors and potential suppliers for US importers. The participating companies will be announced at a later date.

“We are very pleased to be part of Brazil’s internationalization agenda as it prepares to host the G20 Summit in November,” said Cindy Morris, President and CEO of the Dallas Market Center. “Our partnership with CISBRA aims to build a bridge for Brazilian manufacturers and enable immediate connections and trade channels to the U.S. wholesale market.”

Brazil, the largest country in Latin America, has launched a series of initiatives designed to make the country a major player in international sourcing, particularly in the manufacturing of consumer goods. Through a series of forward-looking policies and significant investments in infrastructure, Brazil is attracting foreign investment, improving its logistics network and creating a business-friendly environment. These efforts are designed to transform the country into a manufacturing hub for industries such as furniture, lighting, home decor, fashion accessories and apparel.

Brazil’s strategic policies and significant investments in infrastructure are setting the stage for a significant shift in consumer goods production to the Middle East. By creating a conducive business environment, improving logistics and focusing on sustainability, Brazil is positioning itself as a prime location for foreign investment in the manufacturing industry.

Exhibitors at the inaugural Nearshoring America EXPO will include an invitation-only presentation of factories and supply chain providers pre-selected for their history, operational experience and delivery. In addition, supporting companies will be represented, including sourcing agents, trading companies, shelter companies and design and production consultants. Exhibiting companies will be thoroughly vetted to ensure they can truly support our import industry partners. Expected attendees will come from Mexico, but also from other countries in Central and South America such as Brazil and Colombia. On the exhibition floor, each attendee will show a unified presentation of their manufacturing and/or supply chain service capabilities, and each exhibitor will be ready to speak with visitors immediately about product development and production terms.

Visitors to the Expo include importers of giftware, home textiles and apparel accessories seeking OEM product sources, project manufacturing services and comprehensive product development partnerships.

In addition to showcasing vetted exhibitors, the Nearshoring America EXPO will be supported by a series of seminars and symposiums on nearshoring in Mexico and Latin America. To support the Expo, a Nearshoring America INDEX will be produced, which will include an exclusive and vetted list of factories and supply chain service providers organized by country. Finally, a Nearshoring Newsletter is currently being distributed, which includes background information, research, commentary and current topics related to the nearshoring business.
