MASSACHUSETTS — Canned cocktails have become a big thing in the U.S., and a brand from across the pond is trying to gain a foothold in the market.
MOTH, short for Mix of Total Happiness, is the UK’s fastest growing premium ready-to-drink canned cocktail brand. After expanding in the UK, the brand is now coming to America, where it can be found in stores across Massachusetts.
The company is bringing four classic cocktails to the U.S., including the Margarita, Espresso Martini, Mojito and Piña Colada. The cocktails can be purchased in packs of four, each with a single flavor, and range in price from $19.99 to $25, company officials said.
MOTH cocktails are available in more than 50 stores in Massachusetts and a number of Total Wine & More stores in Florida. Officials said a nationwide online direct-to-consumer sale is in the works.
