Browns vs. Packers: Michael Hall and Cedric Tillman are among the top five players to watch

The The Cleveland Browns are against the Green Bay Packers later in the afternoon. Although we won’t see some of the team’s key players play, there will be plenty of interesting storylines to watch during the game.

Below is a countdown of my top five players or things to look out for during the game:

5. New guards

Third round draft pick Zak Zinter and undrafted free agent Javion Cohen made a solid impression in camp. Both played on the biggest stages in college and blocked top-notch defensive players.

Zinter has a spot on the 53-man roster secured, while Cohen has to make sure the Browns don’t want to take the risk of signing him to the practice squad. We could see two future starters on the offensive line working with the second-year center. Lukas Wypler.

4. Wide receiver Cedric Tillman

Tillman has been a standout in camp and could establish himself as a long-term solution for the X-receiver position in Cleveland. He should get a lot of snaps in this game, and if Dorian Thompson Robinson is next at the quarterback position James WinstonLook for the two of them to create some fireworks in the passing game.

3. Young defensive tackles

Second round pick Mike Hall, Jr. could be the headliner of tonight’s show. He’s earned high praise for his performance so far in camp. If he can consistently apply pressure with his outstanding acceleration, the rookie could be ready to step in right from the start of the season.

I will also pay special attention to the second-year defensive tackle Siaki Ika and seventh-round rookie draft pick Jovon Briggs. The Browns desperately need one of them to prove himself reliable by playing the nose or shadow over center.

2. Kick-off teams

With the new kickoff rules, I’ll be interested in seeing which players the Browns put on the field at receiving and kicking. As someone who likes to predict the 53-man roster, I like to track which players and body types are on the field during the preseason to calculate how roster dynamics might change.

1. Left Tackle

The situation at this position has shown its ugly face so far in this training camp. The absence of Jedrick Wills And Jack Conklin has been the biggest story lately and our own Matt Wilson wrote about it in detail yesterday.

At this point, it appears that Wills is the one of the two who will see the field again, but the team has not confirmed anything yet. James Hudson With ongoing issues and no clear timetable for Wills’ return, we should all be waiting for someone to take the initiative and make an impressive showing in pass defense.

Deshaun Watson’s health must be the team’s top priority and may be the main reason why head coach Kevin Stefanski has not committed to letting Watson play this preseason.

Now I want to hear from you. What or who will you be closely watching during the game? Let me know in the comments below or ask me anything about the team there.
