Butch Duke Obituary 2024 – Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home and Cremation Center

Butch Duke, 80, of Gallatin passed away on August 17, 2024. He was born on July 29, 1944 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Willie and Lois Duke. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and devotion. He was a remarkable human being who will be remembered for his loving and kind nature.

Butch devoted 42 years to the real estate business and became a trusted name in the industry as the owner of his own agency, Century 21 Duke Realtors. Outside of his career, he enjoyed fishing, watching the Tennessee Volunteers, working in his yard, and had a special fondness for his cars, especially his Trans Am.

Butch cherished time with his family and often emphasized that what impressed him most were the moments he spent with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed family outings and had a unique ability to make gatherings enjoyable and memorable. Most of all, Butch loved the Lord.

In addition to his parents, Butch was predeceased by his brother Ray Duke and his sister Ann Fentress.

Butch leaves behind his devoted wife, Becky Duke; his daughters, Shelli Minor (Chuck), Sonnie Smith (Conor), Rachel Walker (Tate) and Anna Phillips (Dennis); and eight grandchildren: Lindsey, Brandon, Ali, Lauren (Matthew), Chance, Emma, ​​Sadie and Sawyer; and his loyal companion, his dog, Ruby.

A wake will be held on August 21, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center (353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075).
