YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Carol L. Cogan, 57, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Hospice House after a brave battle with cancer.
Carol was born on August 19, 1966 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Hensley Lester and Patricia Cogan.

She graduated from the Rayen School in 1985 and worked as a creative consultant and office generalist for One Health Ohio.
Carol was very artistic and sold her artwork and crafts worldwide through Etsy. She was a vivacious belly dancer and enjoyed performing for others and earning trophies. Gardening and baking were some of her favorite activities, as she almost opened her own bakery. Carol always had a smile on her face and brought so much joy to others.
Carol will be greatly missed by her partner of 40 years, Mike Virgalitte, who worked with her both professionally and personally; her sisters Alice of Struthers and Karen and Jessie of Youngstown; her brother Jack of Youngstown; and her stepfather Jack, also of Youngstown.
Her grandmother Caroline, her aunt Cindy and her mother Pat had already died before her.
Viewing hours will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 20th at Schiavone Funeral Home, followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Drespling officiating and burial at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
