CarolinaEast Medical Center receives top marks from US News & World Report

CarolinaEast Medical Center was recently honored with several awards and recognitions for its outstanding patient care.

According to CarolinaEast Medical Center, they were named the best regional hospital in the Coastal Plain and a high-performing hospital for colorectal cancer surgery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), heart attack, heart failure, hip replacement, kidney failure and pneumonia by U.S. News & World Report in its 2024-2025 Best Hospitals list.

CarolinaEast Medical Center has been recognized by the American College of Cardiology with the NCDR Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2024.

CarolinaEast also recently received the Get With The Guidelines-Coronary Artery Disease NSTEMI Gold with Target: Type 2 Diabetes and Coronary Artery Disease STEMI Receiving Center – SILVER with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll awards. These awards recognize CarolinaEast’s commitment to following current, research-based guidelines for the treatment of heart disease, ultimately resulting in more lives saved, faster recovery times and fewer hospital readmissions.
