Cash App Statement: How to File a Claim for a ,500 Withdrawal Online

If you’ve sent or received money using the Cash App mobile payment service in the past six years, you may be entitled to a $2,500 cash settlement. A proposed $15 million class action lawsuit alleges Cash App and its parent company Block failed to take adequate precautions to prevent unauthorized access to user accounts.

The plaintiffs in the lawsuit allege that Block and Cash App acted negligently when a former Cash App Investing employee accessed account data without permission in 2022 and when an unauthorized user accessed certain Cash App accounts in 2023 using reused phone numbers associated with the accounts.

If you were the victim of an unauthorized money transfer or your personal information or Cash App account was accessed without your consent, you may be eligible for a payout of up to $2,500. Here’s everything you need to know about the settlement, how to submit a claim form online or by mail, and what we know about the payout date.
