THE GARLIC CELEBRATION BEGINS!
I’ve wanted to take part for years and it just happened that way.
The Minnesota Garlic Festival takes place this Saturday, August 10thth2024 in Hutchinson.
THE GARLIC FESTIVAL IN MINNESOTA
The Minnesota Garlic Festival is a one-day event held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McLeod County Fairgrounds featuring delicious food, celebrity chefs, live music, local artisans, fun games, and of course, lots of garlic! All in support of a healthy environment and vibrant rural communities in Minnesota.

This year there is a frameable print of the Minnesota Garlic Festival poster available for purchase at the Sustainable Farming Association booth. There are only 100 posters available, so get yours early if you’re interested.
Since the beginning of the Minnesota Garlic Festival, the day begins with an onion toss and the official tasting of the Garlic Bloody Mary.
Music is provided by the Light of the Moon Band and the one and only Precocious Prancing Parader of the Peculiar Pragmatic Promenade (aka Marienne Kreitlow). She has been described as a poet, priestess, joker and eternally odd. She even has an album called Garlic and Other Forces of Nature with the four best songs ever written about garlic. (I guess that’s one way to get to the top of the charts.)

The Garlic Buds Kids Tent is also open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers free activities for children.
Come and build your own kite. Kite building and kite flying will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
