Chandler Public Library celebrates Library Card Registration Month this September

28 August 2024

CHANDLER, Arizona – The Chandler Public Library (CPL) joins libraries across the country in celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month this September. This annual event highlights the wealth of resources and opportunities available to library cardholders. New CPL cardholders who sign up at a Chandler branch this month can choose from a range of limited edition library card designs.

Libraries have long been vibrant community gathering places, providing spaces for all ages to connect and learn. Today, CPL has expanded its resources far beyond the days of traditional bookshelves.

“We are much more than just a place to find your favorite book,” says Rachelle Kuzyk, director of the Chandler Public Library. “With a Chandler library card, you have access to a wide range of learning resources and hundreds of interactive programs. Whether you want to learn a new language, join a book club, or create something extraordinary in The Makery, your library serves as your gateway to community engagement and lifelong learning.”

CPL cardholders have access to over 240,000 print books in four Chandler stores, as well as nearly 70,000 digital e-books, audiobooks and magazines, offering customers a variety of ways to enjoy their favorite literature.

CPL cardholders also have free access to streaming platforms such as Kanopy and Freegal, which offer thousands of movies and music. A Culture Pass allows customers to explore local attractions and access numerous digital resources such as LinkedIn Learning, Mango Languages and Consumer Reports.
