The final game of the American Legion World Series will take place Tuesday night, with Midland (Michigan) taking on Troy (Alabama) Post 70.
Midland is back in the ALWS for the third time in four years and is undefeated in tournament play, with a flawless 4-0 record. In Monday’s semifinal game, Midland defeated League City (Texas) Post 554 – the defending champions – in a narrow 1-0 victory.
Troy defeated the Wilmington Delvets (Del.) 4-0 in Monday’s second semifinal to secure a spot in Tuesday’s final. This made it two straight clean sheets for Troy after beating League City to a clean sheet in the previous game.
