Looking for a summer vacation? Then you might want to look for a getaway outside of North Texas.
How about visiting the White House, the Chicago Bean, or maybe the Las Vegas Strip for under $150?
You might be surprised to know that there are cheap flights from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport to almost every major U.S. city. Use Google Flights or Kayak to find round-trip tickets for week-long stays to various tourist destinations.
Just type in “Google Flights.” From there, you should be able to select a departure destination (DFW) and that’s it. You don’t need to enter dates or arrival cities, Google will search the web for you and show you week-long trips within the next six months. You can also filter so you only see flights under $150 or in your price range.
The cheapest round-trip flight from DFW to Miami is $38 on Spirit Airlines. Most flights with such low ticket prices are operated by Spirit or Frontier Airlines. Please note that when flying with budget airlines, you will have to pay for a carry-on bag. You are only allowed to take one personal item on board for free.
However, for a short vacation you should not take a lot of luggage and the flights should be short.
