Chiefs extend contract with Humphrey, making him the highest-paid center in NFL history

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (KCTV) – The Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday named another player the highest-paid at his position in the National Football League.

According to several reports, a contract extension has been agreed with Chiefs center Creed Humphrey that will bind him to Kansas City for another four years.

The deal was first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. ESPN’s Adam Schefter said Humphrey’s $72 million contract extension — which reportedly includes $50 million in guarantees — makes him the highest-paid center in the league.

Humphrey was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma. He started 51 games in three seasons with Kansas City and was a two-time Pro Bowler.
