After wearing wigs and extensions in public, Ciara has finally given a glimpse of her real hair behind the wigs. The musician recently revealed her natural hair in a mirror selfie video with her hairdresser on Instagram.
In her recent Instagram post, the How We Roll singer shared a series of photos and short videos. Swiping, fans come across the mirror selfie video where Ciara flaunts her natural hair. It may seem different since the singer usually hid her natural hair after revealing details of her damaged hair.
It seems that the singer was quite excited about showing off her original hairstyle in the post, as she revealed the extent of her long black, partially curly hair. Her hairstylist ran her fingers through the seemingly blow-dried hair while she was seen inspecting the length with her fingers. In the video, the Like a Boy singer appeared in a red leotard, complemented by two necklaces and a pair of white sneakers and socks. She appears to have shot the video in a makeup room. The room is filled with several makeup and hairstyle tools.
Furthermore, a closer look at the video showed that she was wearing her light brown wig on the left armrest of her chair after putting the wig aside to show her original hair.
The post begins with a photo of her having fun with her children, followed by several other photos of the musician, some with her husband and quarterback Russell Wilson, and more photos of her children – Future (10), Sienna (7), Win (4) and Amora (7 months).
Although the post wasn’t exclusively about showing off her hair, the singer appeared wearing several different wigs. In one of the photos with her husband, Ciara showed off her hair with light brown highlights, but some photos also featured her curly black hair.
Ciara is celebrating her life with her husband and children and captioned the post “The moments that have fulfilled me in between” with the hashtag #TourLife and a red heart emoji. The singer is currently on tour with rappers Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes as well as producer Timbaland.
The Level Up singer had previously suffered hair damage after applying a hair relaxer. She candidly shared the devastating story of her hair damage in a 2019 post on Instagram, with a video showing off her regrown hair after the damage she felt was almost irreparable. “The first time I got a hair relaxer when I was young,” she captioned the post, adding, “It ripped my hair out. I was devastated. I never thought my hair would grow back.” But when her hair showed a significant improvement in terms of growth, she was “so proud” of it.
Regardless, fans have been able to see Ciara’s natural beauty, which she often hides behind her glamorous appearances in public. As her hair growth progresses after the damage, the singer may soon be able to show off her natural beauty more often than before.
