Clarks and Netflix have teamed up again to release a Clarks x Stranger Things collection for adults that will be available exclusively at Journeys starting August 29. Similar to the kids’ collection from earlier this summer, the collaboration was inspired by the hit Netflix series and its 1980s nostalgia, as well as the show’s beloved characters. The shoes will be available now in adult sizes on Journeys.com and in stores worldwide.
The two pairs in the adult collection feature design notes honoring the cast members of Hawkins High School and the infamous Hellfire Club and are crafted from premium materials in retro colorways. The collection will be available in two different silhouettes: Varsity Torhill and Wallabee Evo.
The Torhill celebrates Hawkins High School’s team spirit with its green and orange colors, embossed “Stranger Things” stamps and tags, and a tiger print in honor of the school’s mascot. It also features premium leather uppers, breathable linings, and cushioned soles.
It also features Stranger Things-inspired detailing on the sand suede upper, including embroidered and screen-printed Hellfire and Hawkins High logos, premium soles and Clarks Originals and Stranger Things-inspired charms.
Clarks has recreated some of its most iconic silhouettes for the collaboration, and that includes a new version of the iconic Wallabee Evo with two unique designs on each tread. The Wallabee will feature an alternate version of the upside-down world, as well as embroidery of the edgy Hellfire Club’s logo and slogans. “We are nerds and freaks” is scrawled on one side, while “Hellfire Club” is written on the sole.
The collection includes sizes 7 to 13, with prices starting at $120.
The launch of the Clarks x Stranger Things collaboration with Journeys marks the start of more Clarks products that will be available at the retailer throughout the year. Based in Somerset, England, Clarks was founded in 1825 by brothers Cyrus and James Clark when they made a slipper out of leftover sheepskin. The brand has since become a staple thanks to the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and released in 1950, and the iconic Wallabee, with its unique design that makes it instantly recognizable.
The first season of Stranger Things was released in 2016 and became one of the most successful Netflix original series of all time. The buzz surrounding the hit series has not died down even before the fifth and final season. Earlier this month, the streaming giant was faced with the threat of a leak for the upcoming season, which shows how in demand new episodes of the series still are. Production on the fifth season began in January and the series is expected to return sometime in 2025.
