Come to the Bristol Renaissance Faire before the season ends

One of the many benefits of living in Kenosha is our proximity to the Bristol Renaissance Faire. And even better, this isn’t just any Renaissance Faire event – ours has been voted BEST for nine years in a row, a true testament to the immersive and unique experience festival-goers have to offer.

My family of four ranges in age from 11 to 40 and we were all kept busy all day when we were there this summer! From ziplines, steel forging and aerial acrobats in a real fairy garden to a comedy performance all based on MUD! And you can’t forget Vegetable Justice either. I don’t know, and if you don’t, I highly recommend a visit to the fair.

Everyone in our family was able to find areas that piqued their interest. Likewise, we were able to find foods that satisfied our appetites. There is no shortage of food options! We ate delicious baked potatoes, munched on turkey legs, and had a teriyaki beef jerky that was to die for. My absolute favorite part of the trip, however, was my bowl of mushrooms in a spicy garlic broth! (You can even get them in a liter container to take home!!!)

There are only a few weekends left to enjoy the 2024 Fair season. Don’t miss out on the fun. This Kenosha family highly recommends getting into the Renaissance spirit by dressing accordingly. There is no preconception whatsoever and your time there will truly come alive! (There are photos of my farmer husband with his walking stick and me with my fairy flower wand!)

The top four from my family of four

  1. Turkey legs and mushrooms – undoubtedly a must for beginners.

  2. Robust beggar mud show – endless laughter in the mud pit!

  3. Steel forging – be sure to watch the artisans forging steel to see how long this art form has been practiced and how incredible the work really is.

  4. Cladding – even if you buy a flower wreath at the fair, enjoy the historical clothing and the magic!

Enjoy!!
