Creedence Clearwater Revival’s hit reaches a new peak for the fourth time this year

Creedence Clearwater Revival hasn’t been together for decades, but somehow 2024 is shaping up to be a very big year for the band. One of the rock band’s most successful songs has reached a new audience in recent months and is slowly rising up one of the world’s most important music charts.

“Have You Ever Seen the Rain” climbs again in the Billboard Global Excl. US ranking of the world’s most consumed songs, which excludes all streaming and sales data from America. The count is intended to show what the rest of the planet is listening to, without influence from the US, which can dramatically change the rankings.

This frame, “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” improves its position in the overall chart by nine places. However, these places proved important as the single reached a new all-time high, settling at number 104.

This week marks the fourth time in 2024 that “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” has reached a new peak. In fact, this happened just last week when it peaked at number 113, which was also an all-time high for the song.

That number was just one spot higher than the previous best placement of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s hit. The cut rose to number 114 in February, which was also an exciting new high. Just a week before reaching that number, it landed at number 150 in January, which was its highest placement ever for just a few days.

While the song soars to unprecedented heights on the Billboard Global Excl. US, the same song also hits a new peak on the similar Billboard Global 200, which includes all consumption data from the US. On that list, it climbs just two spots, landing at number 92.

This week marks the third time in 2024 that Creedence Clearwater Revival’s tried-and-true hit has reached a new high on the Billboard Global 200, having also done so just last week and once in March.
