The Cowboys are already a big topic of conversation this NFL preseason, with contract negotiations currently underway with quarterback Dak Prescott for a team that was knocked out of the NFC wild-card round in 2023. Dallas lost 13-12 on the road at the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1 of the preseason in a game in which backup quarterback Trey Lance threw the ball 41 times and ran six more times but posted a passer rating of just 72.0.

The Raiders will choose either Gardner Minshew or Aidan O’Connell at quarterback and will look to capitalize on another top season for wide receiver Davante Adams. Las Vegas signed tight end Brock Bowers from Georgia in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft and paired him with 2023 second-round pick Michael Mayer for another position with high potential and talented young depth. The Raiders are also making a fresh start at running back: Zamir White is taking over from Josh Jacobs, who left as a free agent.

The Cowboys and Raiders kick off at 10 p.m. ET on NFL Network. Live streams are available on FuboTV (free trial), DirecTV Stream (free trial), and SlingTV (low introductory price).
