Dallas Cowboys cheerleader rookies react emotionally to visit in the locker room

It never gets old to watch the emotions when the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders – especially the rookies – see the locker room they will call home for the first time.

As someone who watched the Cowboys cheerleading series two nights straight after its release this summer, I fully understand the importance of the locker room reveal and what it means to this team.

As someone who watched the entire Netflix series in one day, I understand why Charly would cry tears of joy after being among the final eliminations in 2023. The Cowboys cheerleaders’ management told her to go home and get healthy. Charly did that, and now she’s about to leave AT&T Field for the 2024 season.

Home play begins on September 15th with a RARE 12pm kickoff in Dallas against the Saints. Although it’s a slow start to the season with only three home games before November 10th against the Eagles, things really pick up from there for the ladies.

There are three home games in November, two in December and then a potentially decisive game in early January against the Redskins.

Charly, who became a fan favorite in the Netflix series due to her attitude and willingness to never dot an “i” in TEAM, says she has never worked as hard for anything in her life as she does today as she works toward becoming DCC.

“This has been the most rewarding, life-changing, and amazing challenge I have ever taken on,” she wrote on Instagram.

“The road to becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader was anything but easy, but it was the best thing I’ve ever experienced. This dream has meant everything to me for so long, and achieving it was the first and last thought on my mind every day for years. I wouldn’t give up for the world that I was cut last year. It has brought me so many blessings, and making the team this year has been the most rewarding experience I’ve ever had.”

This woman was mercilessly edited out of the Netflix series. There she was in the summer of 2023, about to live out her dream, and it was ripped right out of her heart.

This summer, Charly has pulled it all together and is now ready to cheer on Dak and CeeDee (and his big contract) to get Jerry to that elusive Super Bowl and prove to him that he can do it without Jimmy and Barry.

“I cry when I think about how nice everyone has been to me. I will never understand what I had to do to get all this, but I hope you know I don’t take this lightly. I feel SO blessed,” Charly added.

“NEVER give up!!! I’m incredibly hard on myself, but BELIEVING IN YOURSELF will take you further than you can ever imagine!! I promise, if you give it your all, something will happen.”

Great, now I’m really touched when I think about how touched Charly was when she saw the changing room with her own eyes.

I know many of you are concerned about who made the NFL’s 53-man roster, and as the head of OutKick’s culture department, it’s my duty to report on the cheerleaders who have finally reached the summit and been officially inducted into the NFL.

The OutKick culture department greets each and every one of you. Now let’s have an incredible season.
