The Cowboys enter the 2024 season with a little more speed to score in the passing game, having added Brandin Cooks to a group that also includes CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Tolbert. They also brought back a familiar face in running back Ezekiel Elliott, who spent the 2023 season with the New England Patriots after spending his first seven years in Dallas. The Cowboys are looking to take a step forward together after going 12-5 last season but losing 48-32 to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card round.

The Chargers are starting fresh in 2024 with the high-profile signing of coach Jim Harbaugh, who just won a national title at Michigan last season. Los Angeles continues to build around franchise quarterback Justin Herbert while revamping its wide receivers and running backs with the signing of free agent running backs Gus Edwards and JK Dobbins from Baltimore and wide receiver DJ Chark. The Chargers also invested in the offense in the first two rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft with tackle Joe Alt in the first round and receiver Ladd McConkey in the second round for a struggling team that went 5-12 last season.

The Cowboys and Chargers kick off at 4 p.m. ET on NFL Network. Live streams are available on FuboTV (free trial), DirecTV Stream (free trial), and SlingTV (low introductory price).
