David Arquette takes full responsibility for Courteney Cox’s hair in Scream 3

Courteney Cox is in Scream 3 was just as terrifying as the murderous action unfolding on the screen.

“That was my fault. I take full responsibility. I mean, that’s the fault of a professional hairdresser, of course. And they didn’t actually do Bettie Page’s blunt bangs. That was the idea.

“They tried to confuse them. That doesn’t work. You have to go all out. You can’t do things like that half-heartedly.”

The last time the franchise was seen on screen was in 2011, with Scream 4the last film directed by the series’ legendary creator, horror expert Wes Craven.

Craven said in the same year that he had plans for a fifth and sixth part, but he died in 2015.

Then in 2019, word got out that indie horror specialists Blumhouse had come on board for the fifth film. This was followed by announcements that Neve Campbell was in talks to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott, while Arquette would return as Sheriff Dewey Riley.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, the V/H/S and Tyler Gillett, who The devil is guiltyhave signed a co-directing contract, with production set to begin later this year.

Campbell’s reappearance is currently unconfirmed, but Cox posted on Instagram last month that she was involved.

The film is expected to be released by Paramount Pictures sometime in 2021, 25 years after the first.
