TOPEKA, Kansas (WIBW) – There is a new daycare center for parents in the capital city to care for their infants or toddlers.
Patterson Family Child Care Center LLC. has expanded. The child care provider held a grand opening ceremony for the new Patterson Family Infant & Toddler Center at 2327 SE Wisconsin Ave.
Owner Melissa Patterson says the new center will increase the number of children that can be cared for there: with 32 additional places, the two buildings will have the ability to care for 60 children.
Patterson says she is excited to help meet a vital need in the community.
“There’s a scripture in… I think it’s in Philippians. It’s (1:6), and it says, ‘He that begineth a good work shall complete it in that day.’ It’s been a long road, but we’re here. I have to boast in God, because without Him I wouldn’t be where I am today,” Patterson said.
“Not only do they have quality child care, they have a family. It’s more than just taking care of their children, we become part of their family. I think that’s the biggest impact of being part of a family,” Patterson said.
