I really wish the case matched the color of the earbuds.

Wingtips and better battery life

With an extreme focus on size and shape, Google’s next-generation earbuds are smaller, lighter, and better shaped to fit and stay in more ears thanks to newly added wing tips. A new Tensor A1 chipset and 11mm driver promise better sound quality, better performance, and longer battery life. The main feature of the Pixel Buds 2 Pro is Gemini support. Gemini Live enables natural conversations with the AI model.

It took Google over two years to release the successor to the first-generation Pixel Buds Pro, but it looks like the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are worth the wait. First off, they’re 27% smaller and 24% lighter. They’re also more comfortable and secure, with the overall shape and fixed wing optimized using over 45 million data points from ear scans.

Audio and features have also been taken to the next level. They come with a Tensor A1 chipset and 11mm proprietary acoustic drivers. This gives a wide soundstage with a balanced audio signature. On top of that, you get better ANC as the chipset allows sound adjustment three million times per second.

Of course, it’s all about AI these days, and the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are no slouch. These earbuds support Gemini and also feature Gemini Live, which lets you have more natural conversations with the digital assistant. Battery life is rated at eight hours with ANC on. With the case, you get an additional 30 hours.

We’re not sure how long this deal lasts, so you’ll probably want to sign up for it soon. These are new, so you probably won’t find any discounts on them for a while. Also, keep in mind that you can pre-order the earbuds and they’ll launch on September 26th.
