Emergency officials say reopening vehicle checkpoints at the intersections of Damen and Jackson, Damen and Michigan, Warren and Washington, and Damen is a priority.
The emergency services hope to have completely cleared the area of fences and barriers by Monday afternoon.
According to officials, emergency crews began cleanup work in the McCormick Place area at 6 p.m. on Thursday and hoped to have the area fully reopened by noon Monday.
Even as the city works to dismantle safety infrastructure, residents should expect impacts on streets and lane closures, officials said.
