Documentary series “The Uncensored History of 80s Hair Metal” announced

After the documentary series about Lollapalooza and music piracy, Paramount+ is now releasing another series that deals with one of the most offensive eras in music history. Nothing but a good time: The uncensored history of 80s hair metal will premiere on the streaming platform on September 17th.

Based on the book by Tom Beaujour and Richard Bienstock Nothing but a good time: The uncensored story of the hard rock explosion of the 80sDirected by Donkey Co-creator Jeff Tremaine, whose filmography includes the Mötley Crüe biopic The dirt. It contains interviews with hair metal luminaries such as Bret Michaels (Poison), Stephen Pearcy (Ratt), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme), Dave “The Snake” Sabo (Skid Row), Don Dokken (Dokken), Tracii Guns (LA Guns) and Riki Rachtman (Headbanger Ball) as well as disciples of the scene like Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Donkey Dude, Steve-O.

“I’m honored to be a part of this docuseries named after Poison’s hit ‘Nothin’ But A Good Time,'” says Michaels. “I’m excited to give viewers a new look at the fans and bands, the highs and lows, and to celebrate the music and good times of the ’80s and beyond. I hope audiences have as much fun as I did, and I can’t wait to give them an inside look at some of those notoriously crazy moments!”
