Something’s brewing… Drake is on the move. The rapper recently followed a mysterious Instagram account and shortly after, 100GB of new material was released, including new music, unreleased footage, and alternate artwork.
This release has been a dream come true for Drake fans since 2010.
What is most fascinating, however, is what Drake did next.
Instead of keeping a low profile, he followed another cryptic report that pointed to a “round 2” of a significant “fight.”
The account called “Indigo Child” doesn’t have many followers, but its bio stands out.
The information appears to relate to Drake’s recent release of 100GB and hints at more releases to come. “The initial report has some people worried,” the bio says.
“Now we start again with round 2 ‘FIGHT’.”
Fans were confused by the release of the 100GB version, and while “Round 2” could mean another material drop, the word “battle” suggests something bigger.
Drake is aware of the consequences of following an account with such a provocative bio and seems to be embracing it.
Fans were eagerly waiting for Drake to continue his battle with Kendrick Lamar after the reaction to the diss to “Heart Part 6” was lukewarm.
Many agreed that the 6th God made a mistake here, but there is speculation that more is on the way.
DJ Akademiks almost confirmed this during a stream in July.
“It’s really never over,” said the DJ.
“I can’t wait to hear the first sneak diss.”
Ak started to give more details, but then stopped. “In fact,” he added, “I’m not even going to tell you what I heard.”
Moreover, industry veterans like Ice Cube have hinted that the fight could flare up again at any time.
In June, Cube appeared with Shaq at the Big Pod and advised Kendrick Lamar to be prepared.
He believed Lamar had won the fight so far, but stressed that the story is not over yet. “That doesn’t mean Drake can’t get back up,” Cube noted.
“If I were Kendrick, I’d stay loaded and braced…” We’re excited to see Drake’s next move.
