“I don’t know anything official yet, but there are a few things in the works. So maybe something great will happen. You know I’ll definitely do something after Blue Bloods.”

The return with eight remaining episodes is scheduled for October, but CBS claims that Blue blood ends. The network had hinted that a spin-off with other characters might be planned, but David Stapf, president of CBS Studios, recently issued an update.

Speak with Deadline In July, he explained: “We don’t have anything that’s going to be in development any time soon, but it’s a brand, a title and a show that’s popular.”

“We have to get it right, so we’re taking our time and trying to figure out what the next episode of Blue Bloods is going to be. We still have a whole season to go where we want to spend the whole season celebrating how good the show is, so we still have time to figure that out.”

Blue blood’ The cancellation came as a huge surprise when it was announced last year, with Donnie and his co-stars Tom Selleck and Bridget Moynahan among the cast expressing their disappointment.

“I think everyone is really upset and sad, but also happy and content?” Bridget said during her appearance at The Drew Barrymore Show next to Donnie.

“I think it’s more of a farewell to the people behind the characters,” she noted. “We’ve created a kind of family on set with the crew – most of the crew have been with us for 14 years, so we’ve been through a lot of weddings, births, deaths, everything. We’ve been through it all together.”

Meanwhile, Tom, who plays Frank Reagan, has attacked his home network. In a conversation with CBS News, the actor was asked if the series was officially ending after 14 years. “Well, that’s a good question. I still believe CBS will come to its senses,” he replied in May.

Tom Selleck has criticized CBS for canceling the drama

“We’re the third most scripted show in all of broadcasting. We’re the winner of the night. The whole cast wants to come back. And I can tell you: We’re not falling apart. We’re doing good shows and we’re still holding our ground. So, I don’t know. Tell me!”

Before the interview, Tom had already hinted that CBS would regret the cancellation. “CBS will find that a whole lot of people are not ready to say goodbye to the show,” he told TV Insider in January.

“The show is more popular than ever and I think (the numbers) will increase with interest this year. We’re sure the ideas will take us even further.”
