Doodles, the entertainment company with Pharrell Williams as Chief Branding Officer, has announced the formation of Doodles Records in partnership with Sony’s Orchard to release its first project, the “Dullsville and the Doodleverse” soundtrack.

Doodles Records is celebrating its launch with the release of its first EP, a three-song original soundtrack for “Dullsville and the Doodleverse,” a short film of the same name premiering later this year. The EP includes “Not in the Store” by Coi Leray and Pharrell, which will be released in early August, “Can’t Hold Me Down” by Lil Wayne, Lil Yachty and Kyle Richh in late August, and “Doodleverse (Draw Me Closer)” by Swae Lee, Lil Yachty and Pharrell in September.

“Music is and will always be a mainstay of Doodles, so we are thrilled to announce the official launch of Doodles Records,” says Doodles CEO Julian Holguin. “Releasing music with some of the world’s most legendary and significant artists on our first project is a dream come true and a great source of pride. In the future, we will combine music, animation and technology to create groundbreaking content experiences that empower artists and their communities.”

With each release from Doodles Records, songs and albums are accompanied by animated videos directed by Doodles founder Burnt Toast in collaboration with in-house animation studio Golden Wolf. The short film “Dullsville and the Doodleverse” will premiere this October.

Alongside the label announcement, Doodles unveiled its direct-to-community platform DoodlesTV, which offers fans early access to music releases, video premieres, and more. Fans can purchase an all-access media pass for the first season of DoodlesTV next week to get an early access to “Dullsville and the Doodleverse.”
