Drake Bell wants fans to ‘go easy’ on Josh Peck after he came forward with abuse allegations

Josh Peck has contacted Drake Bell in light of the abuse allegations.

The former Drake and Josh co-stars have been in touch after Drake admitted in the new documentary series Quiet On Set that he was sexually abused by Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck – who is no relation to Josh.

Fans had criticized Josh for his silence after the docuseries aired, but now Drake said on TikTok: “I just wanted to clarify something. I’ve noticed a lot of comments on some of Josh’s TikToks and some of his posts.”

“I just wanted to let you know that processing and going through this is a very emotional time.

“A lot of this is very difficult, so not everything is made public. But I want you to know that (Josh) reached out to me and it was very sensitive.

“But he made an effort to talk to me and help me process it, and he was really great.

“I just wanted to let you know and ask you to be a little gentler with him.”

On Monday (March 24, 2018), the 37-year-old “How I Met Your Father” actor was heavily criticized by his fans after sharing a video in which he moved his lips to a viral sound.

He mimed, “If I haven’t spoken to you since 2023, consider that a damn sign that you no longer exist to me.”

Users took to the comments section to say the timing of the post was “odd” and accused him of remaining silent after Drake, also 37, spoke out about the abuse he suffered.

The new documentary series “Quiet On Set” alleges that there is a toxic and dangerous culture on the set of former children’s television producer Dan Schneider’s shows, including “All That,” “The Amanda Show” and “Drake and Josh.”

Drake was “massively and brutally” abused by Nickelodeon’s dialogue coach Brian Peck and claimed on the show that Schneider was “unaware” of this abuse.

Regarding the broader allegations about the atmosphere on set, Schneider told “iCarly” star BooG!e to The Hollywood Reporter: “The last few nights have been very difficult.”

“As I confront my past behavior, some of which is embarrassing and which I regret, I certainly owe some people a sincere apology.”
