Drake changes his mind after hinting at a second round with Kendrick Lamar | Real 106.1

Drake may have called his altercations with Kendrick Lamar just “good practice” and stepped away from the rivalry, but he seems to be looking forward to another round. Much of his new material from “100 GIGS,” including songs and videos, reflects his position in the rap scene amid various conflicts this year. Additionally, his activity on his Instagram burner account @plottttwistttttt suggests that he’s feeling pretty confident. He even shared a Story with Rasheed Wallace where he said, “We’re going to win Game 2,” which sparked excitement among fans. DJ Akademiks echoed that sentiment in a tweet on Monday, August 26. However, Drake quickly deleted that Instagram Story, leaving fans of Kendrick Lamar and OVO speculating about his intentions. Some OVO followers believe he may eventually release footage of him planning and sharing insight with K.Dot during their past clashes, as mentioned in “The Heart Part 6.” Others believe this isn’t about a rematch, but rather Drake’s determination to rise above his competition and still make it big. Although he seemingly backed out of the “Game 2” discussion, the message he conveyed was strong. In regards to “100 GIGS,” he has also released older videos as new content, including clips of Kanye West at OVO Fest 2013 and a moment of J. Cole buying CDs when “Born Sinner” came out.

At the same time, there is speculation that Kendrick Lamar may release new material soon, but it is unclear if Drake will be involved. Some fans believe that Kendrick would be willing to engage again, especially since Drake is currently feeling bold online despite deleting this specific post. Others argue that Kendrick may choose to remain silent, suggesting that silence can be quite powerful. Time will tell.
