The “Views” rapper was spotted showing off his new tattoo on Saturday night after releasing his latest EP.
Drake added some ink to his face.
The 37-year-old rapper recently got a new facial tattoo that includes the Arabic phrase “Miskeen” above his right eyebrow.
The new tattoo was first spotted by HipHopDX on Saturday after photographer Brent Kore posted a picture of the father’s tattoo on his Instagram.
“Miskeen” is a commonly used phrase in the Somali community in the rapper’s hometown of Toronto. According to NOW Toronto and Daily Sentinel, the phrase can have two different meanings: The first describes someone who is “poor” or “pathetic,” while the second meaning describes someone who is “sweet” or “innocent.”
NOW Toronto added that Torontonians have likely heard the phrase in the latter sense before.
Drake has not yet posted a photo of it on his personal Instagram account or confirmed the meaning of the tattoo.
The phrase “Miskeen” is not the first tattoo that the “Hotline Bling” rapper has had on his face. Last summer, he had his mother Sandra Gale’s initials tattooed under his left eye.
