Drake private jet “Air Drake” gets a new design: Here is a little foretaste

Air Drake gets a facelift.

The Toronto rapper recently previewed the new Air Drake 2 design on Instagram, and it features a message that confirms your suspicions: “Probably she’s in.” Air Drake’s first version featured the message, “If you’re reading this, we left,” a nod to his classic 2015 mixtape. If you are reading this, it is too late.

The private Boeing 767 is a gift from cargo company Cargojet and can accommodate around 200 passengers if it were equipped like a commercial aircraft. Both versions of the aircraft’s exterior were designed by the late Virgil Abloh. The Air Drake 1’s livery was inspired by the cover of the rapper’s 2013 album. Nothing was as beforewith its blue sky and fluffy clouds. However, Air Drake 2 seems to be painted with a more overcast sky and lightning.

The cabin features three private suites, two living rooms, a business lounge, an entertainment room and a bathroom with shower, all accented with gold and wood finishes, carpeted floors and beige and light purple furniture.

When Drake first showed off his plane in 2019, he said he partnered with Cargojet because he wanted to support a Canadian company. “Supporting homegrown companies has always been one of my top priorities, so when the opportunity arose to join a great Canadian company, I was honored to do so,” he said in a press release.

Air Drake is almost 30 years old and was bought by Mid East Jet of Saudi Arabia in 1996, according to chi-aviation.com.
