Drake releases unreleased Kendrick Lamar collaboration on 100 Gigs website

Drake remains relevant. He recently attracted particular attention when he posted 100 gigs of footage from an unreleased collaboration with Kendrick Lamar on his website. Is the feud over? Who knows.

Okay, so the video features Drake and his longtime producer Noah “40” Shebib in the studio listening to a beat that Drake enthusiastically describes as “crazy.”

After the beat is played, Drake says confidently, “I know where he is, he’s gonna deliver the shit,” to which 40 agrees, adding:

“When he told me, Kendrick, it just made so much sense. Oh, the genius! So good.”

And although the track never saw the light of day, the beat eventually went to Action Bronson, who used it on his 2015 track “Actin’ Crazy,” which was produced by 40 and Omen of Dreamville.

This interesting revelation adds another layer to the history between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, who collaborated on tracks like “Buried Alive Interlude” from Drake’s 2011 album “Take Care” and “Poetic Justice” from Lamar’s “good kid, mAAd city.”

Their supposedly warm and seemingly cooperative relationship began to sour after Kendrick denounced several rappers, including Drake, in his 2013 “Control” verse.

But wait, didn’t Drake start it? With backhanded insults? We’re confused.

Anyway, the tension escalated and the rest is history
