Drake reveals in previously unreleased footage that he wanted to get Kendrick Lamar to sing on a song.

Drake shares clip about Kendrick Lamar

Drake continues to inundate his fans with new music and previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage via his website 100gigs.org. Aubrey’s second drop on Monday (August 26) features a video in which the OVO boss tapped K-Dot to appear on a track he was cooking up in the studio. In the clip, which you can see below, Drake is in the studio with his go-to producer OVO 40, listening to a beat.

“I know where he at, he’s gonna get this shit done,” Drake says as the beat ends.

OVO 40 then reveals who “he” is, responding, “When you told me, Kendrick, it just made so much sense. Awesome. Oh, so good.”

It is unclear when this session was recorded.

Is the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar officially over?

Drake and Kendrick Lamar collaborated on a few songs early in their careers, including “Poetic Justice” and the “Buried Alive” interlude. However, the undercurrent of years came to the fore in March when K-Dot dissed Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” leading to an epic battle between Kendrick and Drake. Things calmed down after they released a barrage of diss songs back and forth in May, including the inevitable chart-topping “Not Like Us.”

Both rappers seem to have moved on, but Drake’s recent posts have fans wondering if he’s preparing for round two.
