Drake: Three new songs on his Finsta Instagram account with Playboi Carti

Drake surprised his fans again with greenlights the release of three new tracks on his Finsta Instagram account, plottttwistttttt, creating a buzz on social media. Known for his unpredictable drops and innovative releases, the GOAT rapper chose this low-key platform to share his latest work, which includes a collaboration with Playboi Carti and two solo tracks. The leaked songs, which music journalist Elliott Wilson jokingly dubbed “Lucian’s Loosies,” include “No Face” feat. Playboi Carti, as well as two tracks: “Circadian Rhythm (The Language 2)” and “SOD.” This trio marks Drake’s continued experimentation with his sound, and the tracks immediately became the subject of fan discussion. SOD., also known as ‘Goodness Gracious’, was previously dropped by Lil Yachty, but he confirmed in an interview that the song may never be released as the sample used needs to be approved. The vibe of the song was the magic that the duplicate created in the song ‘Another Late Night’.

The previous 100 gigs featured three songs featuring 21 Savage, Young Thug and Latto that were blocked by UMG only to appear on streaming platforms. This new trio will definitely go in that direction.

“No face” sees Drake reconnect with Playboi Carti for the first time since their 2020 hit “Pain 1993” from Dark Lane demo tapes. The Gordo-produced track features a distinctive, distorted beat, with Drake addressing themes of betrayal and resilience. “They quickly emptied the magazine, replaced the crap and I came back reloaded.” Drake raps and takes aim at those who have wronged him. Fans loved this collaboration and were eagerly awaiting to see if it will be available on streaming platforms soon.

“Circadian Rhythm (The Language 2)” is a sequel to the popular song “The Language” from Drake’s 2013 album Nothing was as before. In the song, another Gordo production, Drake reflects on his longevity in the music industry. He mentions how many times the industry has written him off. Yet he has always bounced back and proven his dominance: “How many funerals they scheduled for me and I dodged them like a truck,” Drake spits, making it clear that he continues to be an unstoppable force in the rap world.

The last title, “Shit.” is a solo version of the song that first surfaced on streamer Kai Cenat’s live broadcast in early August. The track, now without Lil Yachty’s verse, previously had sampling issues, but this leak fixes those challenges. DJ Akademiks hinted that a music video for “SOD.” could be in the works, further fueling speculation about an official release.

This isn’t the first time Drake has used his Burner account for surprise drops. In early August, he leaked another trio of songs on the “100 Gigs Delivery,” including collaborations with Latto, 21 Savage, and Young Thug. That drop later appeared on streaming services, and all three songs landed on the Billboard Hot 100.

Whether this latest Whether the leak will take the same route to streaming services remains to be seen. Fans are excited to see if the Playboi Carti collaboration in particular will be officially released. For now, the leaked tracks are already causing a stir as listeners speculate about the future of this latest batch of songs.
