Drake is perhaps the most blinged-out dog of all.
The rapper debuted an impressive diamond necklace in the music video for his hit “First Person Shooter” with J. Cole, Hypebeast reported on Thursday. Designed by jeweler Nadine Ghosn, the dog leash-inspired piece consists of a whopping 50 carats of diamonds and weighs more than 1.8 kilograms, she revealed in an Instagram post.

“I’m grateful 🥹 @champagnepapi. Thank you for giving us the chance to make something cool and incredible,” Ghosn wrote in her caption. “Thank you to my incredible artisans for all the trial and error and dedication 💕.”
Drake and Ghosn previously collaborated on another dog-related item to celebrate the rapper’s latest album, as Hypebeast noted. This necklace featured small dog bones, 18-karat gold, 50-karat white diamonds, and 6-karat pink diamonds. These are no ordinary dog collars.
While Drake enlisted Ghosn for these custom pieces in conjunction with his latest release, he’s no stranger to wearing fancy jewelry. Most recently, Drake was revealed as the mystery bidder who paid $1 million for a gold ring that originally belonged to Tupac. And earlier this year, he wore two skateboard charms encrusted with white, pink, and yellow diamonds. These pieces also have a notable provenance: They formerly belonged to Pharrell.
Drake is clearly a diamond lover and hasn’t shied away from adorning himself with precious stones. Last year, he appeared on stage wearing a 42-diamond necklace that took jeweler Alex Moss more than a year to create. The stones symbolized all the times the rapper had thought about proposing to her but then didn’t, which earned the piece the name “Previous Engagements” – and caused some mild mockery online.
Moss is also one of Drake’s favorite jewelers: He designed Drizzy a 13-diamond “Godfather Ring” in 2022, as well as a matching necklace and bracelet. “The goal was to create elegance with this set by using the finest materials at the highest level of craftsmanship,” Moss said. We’re not sure if Champagne Papi’s jeweled dog leash exudes the same elegance, but it’s certainly as eye-catching as the rapper’s other jewels.
